The university houses a hundred or more student associations and societies, whose aims are to :

• promote the different degree courses
• organise seminars, forums and conferences
• organise social evenings.

At a university where a number of degree courses are artistic in nature, culture naturally finds a place alongside study.

The Students' Social Centre is responsible for all the cultural activities that are part of the various degree courses: the interuniversity orchestra and choir, and the theatre workshop.

The Centre also supports the many Collective cultural projects and provides financial aid from the Social Welfare and Student Initiative Development Fund.
