Benefits available to students

Up to 25/26 years old, students benefit from special discounts on :

museums (tip : admission is usually free on the first Sunday of the month)

The student card gives access to all student cafeterias in France (1 ticket : 2.85 Euro €).

Cost of Living

The following list gives an idea of everyday cost of living in France (in Euros) :

*Note : this price reflects the lowest-rate rooms we have previously assigned students. However, rooms are extremely limited and the lowest-rate rooms are not guaranteed to all students. We do our best to provide housing to all students who request it, but we cannot make price guarantees.

Budget

French Law requires that students prove that they have sufficient financial means to study in France without working, that is to say at least 430 Euros per month.
However, you will need over 1 800 Euros for the first month to cover the following expenses:

  • Accommodation (Rent, accommodation guarantee, accommodation insurance, gas, electricity, etc.)
  • Registration fees
  • Health (Complementary student insurance, etc.)
  • Telephone

Bank Account

Usually students will need to have an appointment at the bank and to deposit at least a minimum amount of money in order to open a bank account.
